CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES

Using our fantastic team of enthusiastic professionals we can provide a host of children’s activities making the school holidays a little less stressful. We run many courses and one off days including drama, sailing, golf, activity days, pool parties and many more. All of our staff are DBS checked and trained to the highest of standards giving you peace of mind that your little ones will have a great time with their chosen activity and be in safe and secure environment.

AQUA ED

AquaEd is Stevenage Leisure’s successful swimming lesson scheme, teaching thousands of children to swim each week using the Amateur Swimming Association’s National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). AquaEd offers a new approach to swimming with the emphasis being on fun and enjoyment. Our teachers spend time interacting with your child to make sure they get the most from each lesson they attend. We reward every effort made no matter how small.

OUTDOOR

If you are looking for a different to get into shape or just for something a little different then why not head to Fairland’s Valley and try out our sailing and rowing lessons? All of our qualified instructors use coaching ratios as lain down by the Royal Yachting Association, our governing body. Under the watchful eye of our instructors you will learn all the necessary skills required to allow you to sail independently. Our courses are tailored around the student and we welcome people of all capabilities to give it a go.

GOLF

Situated within Aston, a rural part of Stevenage, our 18 hole main course is a stunning Par 72, 'parkland' golf course that can be enjoyed all year round. Designed by John Jacobs it is one of the finest designed courses in Hertfordshire. In addition there are excellent practice facilities including a 24 bay floodlit driving range, chipping area and putting green as well as a 9-hole Pitch and Putt course, where you can try out 'Footgolf' the latest craze for all the family. We cater for all levels so whether you’re a seasoned professional or just a beginner who needs lessons or equipment, we can cater for your needs.

BADMINTON

Badminton is a great sport that many people can benefit from. The game can be played by people of all ages and is easy to pick up. It is a cardio-vascular sport that will improve speed, hand-eye co-ordination and reactions.

THEATRE

The Gordon Craig Theatre has been entertaining audiences from across the Home Counties since it first opened its doors in 1975. This 501 seat theatre boasts a varied programme of live entertainment, ranging from one-night variety-music shows to week-long drama productions. The Concert Hall has an exciting programme of Comedy and Live Music. Jimmy Carr, Jethro, Jim Davidson, Dionne Warwick and Lesley Garrett are among some of the many sell-out acts that the 1200 seat auditorium has previously played host to. Undoubtedly, one of the major highlights of the year is the Pantomime. Comprising of some of the top names in the entertainment world and budding local performers, the Pantomime attracts record-breaking attendances year on year. The Gordon Craig Theatre and Concert Hall certainly have something for the whole family.
